Attractions and Events Reopen for 2018

Calendar with reopenings

Go Ape at Freedom Park launches into the trees again on Saturday, March 10. Go Ape Freedom Park features two outdoor adventures so the whole family can experience treetop fun. Go Ape Treetop Adventure features five treetop obstacle course sections, leading you higher into the forest canopy. Guests will navigate 37 exciting crossings like the Big U, Trapeze, two Tarzan swings and five exhilarating zip lines. 10 years of age and younger, our Treetop Junior course offers junior appropriate challenges and a great time. When you Go Ape you get an outdoor adventure the whole family can share!

Tip: For the Treetop Course, one participating adult (18+) is required to supervise up to two 10-15-yearolds. For 16- and 17-year-olds, they do not require a participating adult, but a waiver signed by either their legal guardian or an adult (18+) who has obtained permission from their legal guardian is required. For the Treetop Junior Course, an adult (18+) must participate to supervise every two children under age 6 on the course, though it is strongly recommended to have one adult per child on the first visit. Participating adults may not supervise from the ground.

The Williamsburg Winery Cycling Club resumes on Sunday, March 11 and the Williamsburg Winery Run Club resumes on and Thursday, March 15. For Cycling Club, there are different cycling routes available at different lengths and Cycling Club occurs every Sunday weather permitting. Run Club occurs every Thursday weather permitting and Run Club is family friendly and open to children with a parent or guardian. These are both free to participate in.

Tip: All Cycling Club registrations include a 15% discount on lunch at The Gabriel Archer Tavern. With Run Club, if you complete five runs, you'll receive a complimentary Williamsburg Winery Run Club t-shirt.

Historic Jamestowne’s “Behind the Scenes” tours resume on Tuesday, March 20. The tours include an archaeology-inspired “In the Trenches” tour as well as a “Curator’s Artifact” tour that offers an intimate look at the artifact collection. The tour ticket price includes 7-day admission to Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield.

Tip: Reservations are highly recommended as tours frequently sell out.

Go-Karts Plus reopens on Friday, March 23. Go-Karts Plus is Williamsburg’s premier family entertainment center and has been building family memories for over 25 years. With eight acres of rides and games, Go-Karts Plus has something for everyone!

Tip: Spectators are allowed to walk around the park, take pictures or just observe without paying a dime!

Busch Gardens Williamsburg reopens on Saturday, March 24. Fun is always in season at Busch Gardens Williamsburg with thrilling roller coasters, world-class dining, abundant shopping options, kid-friendly attractions and exciting events.
