Administrative Services
Administration is responsible for records, budgeting, purchasing, planning and recruitment. Professional standards is responsible for internal affairs investigations, public information, accreditation, grants, policy and training.

Operations
Operations Division enforces traffic and criminal laws, answers calls for service and apprehends criminal violators.

Support Services
The Support Services Division is supervised by the Support Services Division Commander and includes Investigations, Community Services Unit, School Resource Unit and Colonial Community Corrections.

Crisis Negotiations Team
Negotiates the safe surrender of subjects in crisis situations such as armed subjects, barricaded subjects and incidents where hostages have been taken.

USRT
The Underwater Search and Recovery Team is to provide a well-trained, well-equipped, efficient unit which is to be utilized in situations where divers are required.

Marine Patrol
Provides law enforcement services on the waterways within James City County and secures the waterways and shorelines of James City County and surrounding jurisdictions.

SWAT
When a situation dictates the need of the specialized equipment and the tactically trained personnel that the SWAT Team is comprised of, the Team responds and assumes tactical command of the incident.

Tactical Field Force Team
The Tactical Field Force Team responds to situations of civil disturbances, union conflicts, public demonstrations or other events involving large or disorderly crowds which require skillful response by law enforcement.

Honor Guard
The Honor Guard performs a variety of functions to include presenting the national colors and marching in community parades.

Motorcycle Unit
Promotes safe and efficient enforcement of traffic regulations and serves as a community relations tool.

Highway Safety Task Force
Targets highway safety issues such as speeding, drunk-driving and occupant protection violations.
