School Resource Officers are assigned to the schools to provide information to the students, parents and staff regarding law enforcement and the criminal justice system. The officers maintain high visibility at the schools, attending student functions as well as teaching curriculum units and providing classroom presentations on varied topics. The School Resource Unit is also responsible for several
youth programs.
